Deadstock is fabric that was woven for a past collection and never used. It is what is left over when more is produced than is cut. Much of it would otherwise be destroyed.
The fabric for ORU is Italian deadstock, bought by the metre in Prato. The houses it was first woven for are never disclosed, and we do not guess at them. What we know is what is in front of us: the face, the back, and how the cloth folds.
The supplier inspects every fabric when it comes in and records what is known about it, so it can be traced.
There is only so much of any one fabric. When the metres we bought are used up, that belt is finished. When a roll is depleted, the texture cannot be replicated.
What is it? A belt made by hand from Italian cloth, with two zipped pockets sewn inside. There is no logo on it.
Will it fit me? It is one size. The belt is 140 cm long.
How do I wear it? It has no buckle. You tie it in a knot or a bow.
What fits in the pockets? Two zipped pockets inside, 20 × 10 cm each. A phone fits, including the largest models. Also cards, keys and cash.
What is it made of? The face and the back are Italian fabrics. Italian deadstock: fabric woven for a past collection that was never used, bought by the metre in Prato.
Who makes it? Richard Rozbora, in Slovakia. He graduated from Central Saint Martins in 2001 and has run his own label since 2007. Each belt is cut and sewn after it is ordered.
How do I care for it? Do not wash. Clean carefully by hand where needed.
Is it for women only? It is not marked as either. Wear it if it works on you.
Will a model come back? No. Each model is made once. When those pieces are gone, we do not make it again.
How long does it take? Nothing is made before it is ordered. Your belt is made within 30 days of payment and then shipped.
How do I pay? By card, through Stripe. You never send money to us directly.
What does shipping cost? Nothing. Shipping is free worldwide.
Where do you ship? Worldwide.
Will I pay customs? Inside the EU, no. Outside the EU, import duties and taxes may apply. They are set by your country and paid by you on delivery. If the parcel is refused or not collected, the shipping both ways and any duties charged to us are deducted from your refund.
Can I return it? Yes. Within 14 days of delivery, unworn, for a full refund. Return shipping is paid by you — from outside the EU, including any customs charges. Made to order does not remove this right.
Can I exchange it for another model? No. You can return it and place a new order.
Why have I never heard of you? We started in 2026. No investor and no famous name behind us.
How do I reach you? Write to hello@oru.sk.
